Marks of maturity

Mature is he:

- Who is patient, who is willing to give up immediate pleasure in favor of the long term gain.

- Who has the ability to settle differences without resentment or anger.

- Who preserves despite setbacks

- Who knows that life is too short to be wasted in prejudices, intolerance, hatred and revenge.

- Who has the capacity to face dissapointment and adversity without becoming bitter.

- Who is human and who responds to the needs of others with compassion.

- Who has the humility to say "I was wrong" and the self control not to say "I told you so" when he is proud that he is right.

- Who does not complain that the rose bush has thorns, but rejoices that it bears roses.

- Whose deeds conform to his thoughts and words.

- Who lives in the present without being shackled by the dead past or the unborn future.

- Who strives to change things which he can and who lives in peace with things he cannot.
